PRODUCTION FEMALES HERDSIRES CRIAS

Café Mancha

¾ accoyo

ARI# 30699205

He is a ¾ accoyo, full Peruvian white male bred for denseness. His sire, 6 Peruvian Accoyo Plantel, was a full accoyo import, owned by Magical Farms, and utilized to produce density. Café Mancha’s dam, is a full Peruvian daughter of Rolex. Those who are seasoned in the industry recognize My Peruvian Rolex as a multi-champion white. Now add to this the lineage of PPPeruvian Augusto and 4 Peruvian Ajax and one can see why Café Mancha has been added to our herdsire row. Not only did he acquire density, he also acquired fineness !

In addition to his excellent, tested genetic background, Café Mancha exhibits “speedbump” high frequency, low amplitude crimp with incredible brightness that extends well into his nicely shaped top knot. He sports a solid frame with perfect conformation and bite.

His histogram maintains his 20.9 AFD! In addition, he has done admirably in the show ring in large, competitive classes of whites.

Café Mancha's crias are in the show ring and are placing 1st in large white classes.  You will see more of his crias in the ring in the future.

Stud Fee: $3000 (inquire about special pricing for SeAA and KAA members)

Ferrari’s Hemiaccoyo Paragon

¾ accoyo hemiaccoyo

ARI# 30422469

Purchased from one of the oldest and most prestigious breeding programs in the United States, Paragon is a wonderful addition to the herdsire row of Eagle Bend Alpacas. A white, ¾ accoyo hemiaccoyo, Paragon was awarded a Reserve Champion in the white juvenile class, standing over other white males from the prestigious breeding programs of the northwest. Paragon continued to place in the stiffest competition against renowned breeding programs, taking 2nd and 3rd placements as both a juvenile and yearling. As an adult breeding male, his fleece continues to win high marks, taking 2nd place in the 2008 OABA AlpacaFest Fleece show, only 0.5 pts. Off of first place! He’s incredible.

Paragon is an extremely dense huacaya, with a strong, well-developed frame, but he also carries a fine-microned fleece which is very hard to achieve with density too. Each time he has been shown, the judges comment on the extreme brightness of his fiber. Paragon carries the elite, zipper-stitched crimp that is desirable among breeders.

He has a complete genetic package beginning with Victor as his great-grandsire, Caligula as his paternal grandsire, and Hemingway as his maternal grandsire. His sire, Sonora’s Accoyo Ferrari, is a full accoyo foundation male at Timberland Alpacas. Paragon has the rare total package to compliment any breeding program.

Regretfully his introductory breedings are sold out, but he is available to improve your herd for only $4000 stud fee. Please inquire about our drive-by breeding discounts as well as special pricing for KAA and SeAA members.

Paragon's first crias are on the ground and they are spectacular.

Act now to secure a breeding for your high end females!

Eagle Bend’s Intrepid

ARI# 30577992

Heavy boned, strong frame, excellent conformation, dense, yet still fine ….. all descriptive terms used by various show judges to define this young male. He is sired by none other than El Nino’s Maximus, and his mother is a black dam by Silver Phantom!

Intrepid saw the show ring three times as a juvie, and all three times walked away with the first place ribbon in highly competitive shows. He made an appearance at the 2008 Futurity and took 2nd in a class of nine. As a yearling, Intrepid has taken 1st in the Best Owned and Bred Yearling Class at IAA, competing against all color classes, including white! At OABA’s fall AlpacaFest, he took 1st Place in the Brown Yearling Halter Class, and went on to win the Brown Halter Championship, standing over a large group of very nice brown males! He will continue the show circuit Spring, 2009 until he begins breeding in the fall.

In addition to his wonderful fleece and perfect conformation, Intrepid is a lovable alpaca with a delightful disposition. He is easy to handle and very affectionate, often approaching you first to allow a hug or a back scratch.

His offspring are consistent in crimp architecture and sport his density and large boned frame.  You will see his progeny in the show ring.  He is throwing a variety of color including black.

EL NINO’S MAXIMUS
¾ Accoyo

ARI# 839593

A very athletic, fine-microned fleece, and dense male, El Nino's Maximus is one of the earliest progeny of the great El Nino.  Slated for exportation to Australia, Maximus was not placed in the show circuit early on.  He was later re-purchased by his breeder to be used in his own breeding program.  "He is an exact clone of his sire," we were told, and certainly, upon seeing him, we agreed.

Now that El Nino has passed, breedings to Maximus have become even more desirable.  He has double strength in his genetics.....Pperuvian Caligula as his paternal grandsire with Pperuvian Vengador as his maternal grandsire.

Maximus has a majestic presence and took a first place ribbon at The Southern Select in 2006 in the Mature White Male Halter Class under the scrutiny of Judge Amanda Vandenbosch.  This was his first showing!  His histogram at age 2 showed an AFD of 17.6 and he has retained his fineness.  His six year old histogram (2008) showed an amazing AFD of 22.2, SD-5.2, CV-23.4, and %microns>30 - 6.3%.   He has excellent conformation and a perfect bite.

His cria are doing extremely well in the show ring, each one placing with high marks - 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, and Championship!  Each one is also fine in micron (below 20) and is retaining this fineness, just like Maximus.

Note that Maximus is the only El Nino son residing in Kentucky full time, therefore his availability is constant.  His breeding fee will remain at $4,500 and is not over-inflated. Inquire about our drive-by breeding discount plus there are special terms for KAA and SeAA members.  This is an excellent opportunity to add El Nino genetics to your herd.  Don't delay!

SSF PRIDE
½ Peruvian – ½ Chilean

ARI# 1261080

So named because he was an alpaca to be proud of, SSF Pride is an up and coming medium silver gray huacaya male that will be settling females at Eagle Bend next spring.

Pride has not disappointed us in the show ring, taking 3rd place at his first ever outing at six months of age! He has consistently placed in the ribbons at subsequent shows and we look for him to excel again next spring in the show ring.

Sired by My Peruvian Ndume, Pride has a fabulous genetic background, also mirrored by grandsire Acero Marka’s Mr. Know It All on his dam’s side. Pride is ½ Peruvian and has the high frequency crimp with consistent color that is highly prized by breeders of gray alpacas. He sports a very beautiful, desired head crowned with a well shaped, pleasing bonnet.

ACCOYO AMERICA LOHENGRIN
Full Accoyo

ARI# 1320985

Words cannot describe our excitement at securing a full accoyo Camilio son at the recent Parade of Champions sale at Accoyo America! Lohengrin provides high fleece character to Eagle Bend’s breeding program and he can do the same for yours! In addition, his sire is well known for allowing color to come through to his offspring and we welcome this attribute in Lohengrin.

He is the offspring of Accoyo Camilio, the true fawn herdsire of Accoyo America, who has sired dozens of show winning crias. His full accoyo mother, Rosmery, has also produced several champions including Pennyroyal.

Lohengrin carries the handsome head of his sire, and the beautiful light fawn coloration that is rarely seen in fawn-colored alpacas. Extremely dense, fine, and bright, we can hardly wait until he begins breeding early next summer.

Inquire now to secure some of the first breedings to this very excellent male! If you desire to add density to your females, this is the male that can do it, plus provide color.

Stud fee: $3,500

MFI Accoyo Absolut
Full Accoyo

ARI# 31036016

According to the ARI database, there are only TWO identifiable FULL Accoyo FAWN sons of Accoyo Titan, and one of them is Absolut. Acquired as a juvenile in the fall of 2008 by Eagle Bend Alpacas, his first crias are hitting the ground and they are very pleasing.

He is an outstanding male – with excellent phenotype, perfect bite, outstanding fleece….. he has it all! His pedigree is impeccable. His sire, 6Peruvian Accoyo Titan sold at the 2007 Breeder’s Choice Auction for $250,000 while his maternal great-grandsire, Accoyo PPPeruvian Augusto, sold in the 2006 Breeder’s Choice Auction for $226,000!

Absolut has quality in color along with an extremely rare pedigree. His sire, Accoyo Titan, is an excellent producer of colored crias when bred to colored dams and we believe that Absolut will do likewise.  His first cria was dark brown.

Absolut has an impressive fleece … very soft, with unusually tight crimp architecture, not generally seen in full accoyos.

We encourage you to keep him in mind for future breeding purposes. Please inquire about his availability.
