The Fiber Studio at Eagle Bend Alpacas is a multi-purpose facility. Opened in November, 2008, this unique, small building is utilized for housing the fiber of our alpacas. Fleece of our stud males is exhibited for breeders who are seeking the appropriate match for their female. In addition, our show winning fleeces are displayed. Come shearing time, the building will provide a place for all of our shorn fiber to be skirted and cleaned before going to market.

The Fiber Studio is also a comfortable setting for greeting visitors to the farm, particularly those who come to inquire about alpacas as a business or lifestyle. It provides a meeting room in which enables in-depth discussions. Various aspects of the alpaca industry can be seen within the walls of the Fiber Studio, bringing a fuller viewpoint for those who are seeking information.

The Fiber Studio provides an place for educational seminars. We have already hosted a seminar to learn felting of fiber. Other seminars will be held, along with classes for spinning, weaving, felting, and also will provide a setting for knitting groups to come and enjoy time spent on the farm using yarn made from our alpacas!

The Fiber Studio serves as a small gift shop for the discriminate pursuer of alpaca goods. End products made from our herd are on display and are available for purchase.
