Deceased

Descended from the Shere Khan lines of Peru, mixed with Vengador, Caligula, and Accoyo El Nino (now deceased), Maximus represents the only El Nino son in the state of Kentucky. A true macho, Maximus has many progeny on the ground, most of which are show winners, champions, or hold placements in the ring. He is a wonderful mix of 3/4 accoyo and 1/4 Conchatonca, which equates to extreme density with fine micron. He combines the best of both Type A and Type B fleece traits on a strong, athletic, and conformationally correct frame. For 5 straight years, his AFD has remained at 22.5%. His offspring are predominantly white, but he has also thrown varying shades of fawn as well as brown and even grey! His disposition is pleasing for a well-seasoned breeding male and he passes this temperament to his progeny. Maximus has been the cornerstone of our breeding program since the beginning of our farm, and continues to be a strategic component of all of our breeding decisions.

Maximus is no longer being offered for outside breedings even though we are still using him here, but some of his progeny are standing stud on the farm.  Inquire about them as an alternative to Max.  No doubt you will want to look at his shorn fleeces and evaluate his physical attributes when you choose a stud to improve your females. Maximus was put into service quickly and has not been shown but twice. Please remember to inquire about our special stud fees for KAA and SeAA members.
